How to Convert Inches to cm

Quick reference for inches ↔ centimeters.

The formula

1 inch = 2.54 cm (exactly). So:

cm = inches × 2.54

To go from cm to inches: inches = cm ÷ 2.54

Examples

• 6 inches = 6 × 2.54 = 15.24 cm
• 1 foot (12 in) = 30.48 cm
• 100 cm = 100 ÷ 2.54 ≈ 39.37 inches
